Elvish Yadav Arrested in Noida Snake Venom Incident
Elvish Yadav, a popular YouTuber and winner of Big Boss OTT season 2, has been arrested by the Noida police over his alleged involvement in the snake venom case. DCP Noida Vidya Sagar Mishra confirmed that Yadav is set to appear before the court today. This development comes a month after forensic reports confirmed that the samples collected from an alleged rave party in Noida last year contained venom sourced from Cobra and Krait snake species.
An NGO called 'People For Animals,' led by Maneka Gandhi, lodged a complaint last year against Elvish Yadav and five others, alleging their involvement in supplying snake venom at a party in Noida. The complaint detailed a sting operation orchestrated by the NGO, during which they reached out to Yadav, requesting him to arrange a rave party and procure Cobra venom.
The allegation stated that "Elvish provided us with the contact details of a person named Rahul, whom we reached out to. Rahul claimed he could procure the venom for us at any desired location. Subsequently, he arrived at Sector 51 Banquet Hall with the venom. However, law enforcement, accompanied by the District Forest Officer, intervened and apprehended the organizers."
On November 2 last year, the Noida Police filed charges against six individuals, including YouTuber Elvish Yadav, for the alleged involvement in supplying snake venom for recreational purposes at a rave party held in Sector 51 of Noida. Five of the accused, namely Rahul, Titunath, Jayakaran, Narayan, and Ravinath were arrested with snakes discovered in their possession. Initially under investigation, Yadav was reportedly not present at the event, as per police statements.
After being booked in the snake venom case, Yadav disputed the claims against him on social media, labeling them as "baseless, fake, and not even 1 percent true." He also promised complete cooperation with the Uttar Pradesh police in this subject in the brief video.
During their inquiry, the Noida police discovered a video of Elvish Yadav holding two snakes. According to Yadav during interrogation, the Bollywood artist Fazilpuria arranged for the reptiles. However, the musician claimed to media outlets that the snakes belonged to a production company and that he had no connection to the rave parties.
